If you were one of the many who adored Indigo Prophecy, then it's probably been a tough three-year (and counting) wait for Quantic Dream's follow up, Heavy Rain. But according to Quantic president and CEO David Cage, we may not have to wait as long between games in the future -- in our exclusive Heavy Rain interview with Cage (who's also the game's writer and director), he revealed that Quantic has reached the stage where they can have multiple games in development at the same time. "Quantic Dream's been a single-project company for years. We put a lot of energy and attention in our projects, and we never wanted to compromise the quality," Cage explained. "The company has now reached another stage where we're ready to have two and soon three projects at the same time, with the same desire of ambition and originality. We want to continue to pioneer emotion and narrative in games in the future, but also apply what we've learned to different formats and different genres." Cage didn't elaborate on which formats and genres they're interested in, although the thought of applying their story-driven mechanics to, say, a more conventional shooter, or maybe even a straight-up survival horror title, is pretty exciting stuff.
